Bali 23 - 30 March 2010 (Part 3)

Day 7 - 29 March 2010 (Mon)

Our final day in Bali. We woke up at 0930 hrs. After breakfast, we purchased a 60-minute internet connection voucher at Rp30k from Mutiara Bali in order to logon to the airlines website to confirm tomorrow's flight schedule.

After browsing the net, we soaked ourselves in the pool until late afternoon and had Maggie Hot Cup Noodles for lunch. We brought the 2 cup noodles from Kuala Lumpur. As we need more luggage space, we had to finish the noddles today! :p

Both: Love the Frangipani trees by the pool

Both: Frangipani flower

We had a relaxing afternoon sun bathing by the poolside until 1600 hrs before getting ready for our planned itinerary for the evening - to catch the Bali sunset at Ku De Ta (http://bali.kudeta.net/) and a fine dinning at Metis Bali (http://www.metisbali.com/).

While waiting for the Mutiara Bali shuttle, we saw the praying ceremony at the entrance of Mutiara Bali.

Ku De Ta

Ku De Ta (http://bali.kudeta.net/) is located at Jalan Kayu Aya 9. They serve dishes originating from France, Japan, Italy, Greece, Thailand, America, Morocco and more. Ku De Ta offers a great venue for the magnificent Bali sunset view. One of the highlights of this trip!

Although we arrived at 1650 hrs, we were seated at the KDT Deck as the Beach Bar is fully occupied by the early birds.
Thankfully the KDT Deck is just right beside the Beach Bar. Check out the the crowd at The Beach Bar!

We enjoyed our drinks, enjoyed watching surfers chasing waves, enjoyed watching people having fun by the beach, enjoyed the sun and the sea breeze until 1748 hrs when the sun began to set. At 1816 hrs, the sunset is complete with the soothing sounds of the sea.

At 1830 hrs, we left Ku De Ta for the Metis Bali. We were told that Metis Bali is about 15-20 minutes walk from Ku De Ta. After obtaining directions from the security guard, we started our adventurous journey.

After 15 minutes walk, we were still at the single lane road and it was getting really dark. Fortunately, we met a security guard (of a hotel or restaurant) who advised us to take a taxi. He even flagged down a taxi for us. Many thanks to him!

Metis Bali

We arrived Metis Bali at 1850 hrs. Glad that that our booking with Metis Bali was 1900 hrs. Metis Bali is located at Jalan Petitenget No.6, Kerobokan Kelod (http://www.metisbali.com/). Here, you can find the famous Chef Nicolas 'Doudou' Tourneville (formerly of Kafe Warisan)'s French Mediterranean cuisine.

This vacation was a perfect getaway from our hectic lifestyle. It really was a relaxing holiday as we both were uncontactable (mobile phones were off for a break from work).

We ♥ the beauty of Bali, the romantic & peaceful atmosphere, the friendly people and we really ♥ the food! It’s like a paradise!

Goodbye Bali! We will come back again! I am going to set a ten-year plan to own a villa in Seminyak, Bali….Who knows it may come true, right? :D
